Hyun Joong Japan Tour Nov 2011

Japanese fans were very fortunate to spend 2 weeks with Hyun Joong in 10 provinces this month, where he performed songs from Break Down and Lucky Solo Albums.  From the fancams, photos and twits shared by fans, Hyun Joong charmed everyone with his stage presence, dance, wit and lovely interaction with fans!  Needless to say, press coverage was intense and he garnered even more fans ^^

Hyun Joong Update 27.11.11

Argh... I'm such a bad fan of Hyun Joong & lazy blogger kekekeke, haven' updated this blog for ages.  But seriously I've been too busy catching up with wuri 4D leader's comeback stages with his 2nd Solo Album Lucky and his Japan Tour immediately after this promotion for Lucky ended in Seoul.  So miane T.T

His comeback stages was daebak and his first comeback stage with Lucky Guy on MusicBank, he grabbed the #1 spot!!! That's so awesome!!

I won't post all of his performances here, but there's an awesome, ab501utely fantabulous live stage that I need to add here, that is Hyun Joong's Style Icon Award 2011 performance for Do U Like That where he danced right on the red carpet all the way on to the stage to perform Lucky Guy!! 

Lucky Guy Hyun Joong has Arrived ^^

High high high high ... lucky tonight ... finally we see the full MV for Kim Hyun Joong's title track Lucky Guy from his 2nd solo album Lucky.  But but before he released the full MV, our 4D one gave fans a gift, which was the release of the studio practice dance video fo Lucky Guy .... so sweet!

LUCKY Hyun Joong ^^ Teases

I'm so so so excited today. Firstly in the morning there were 20 photos from Hyun Joong's 2nd Mini Album "Lucky" being released.  The concepts for this album is a naughty hustler! hahahahaha and I'm loving his image so much.  The dress style, the air and the look makes leader such a rogue and I love it! 

Then in the afternoon, I was teased to no end with the short short MV teaser of Lucky!  I'm so hooked on the song!  I can't wait for the full MV but then, we'll have to wait a while more. There'll be 2 more teasers before the full MV is unleashed... sigh...

Here's Hyun Joong's 1st teaser for Lucky.  Anyone of  you noticed UZoosin's eyes in this teaser?!  haahahaha, Leader you are just a marketing genius, aren't you? *winks*  Again, please if you truely love Hyun Joong please only watch from his official YT Channel and DO NOT COPY/RE-UPLOAD, thanks.

Ahahahahaha, the 4D one forgot his own ID and wasn't able to log on to his official website and henecia homepage.  Seriously made me laugh out loud at his messages. He's just totally a sweetie, cutie boy at heart.  Shooting MV tomorrow.. gosh I'm getting excited again ^^

I totally am amazed at how eloquent and mature Kyu Jong has become after a long absence from the limelight.  He has grown both in talent and in maturity.  His ability to express his heartfelt words and thoughts during these interviews inspire me!! 

The Recent Me ^^

Hahahaha Hyun Joong updated his Japanese mobile site with some recent photos & updates on what he's been up to.  I like how he called this updates "Recent Me", that's really cute!  Ah... he's very busy preparing for his 2nd solo album, hope he really takes some time to rest.  Somehow, he seemed to have lost weight to me T.T

Lucky Guy Hyun Joong ^^

Gosh, didn't expect Hyun Joong to be back with his 2nd solo album so soon - October 11, 2011 to be exact!  Here's news of his album just released today.  Looks like we'll only see him promoting this 2nd album on music shows for 2 weeks only cause he's off to Japan for his concert tour.  I can't wait to see more of him and hear his voice again.  From the track list, seems this is a pretty happy and upbeat album.

 Hahahaha, the much anticipated MV teaser for Kyu Jong's Solo Album Turn Me On was released early this morning at 12am kst.  Although we couldn't see or hear much as it is only a teaser, I liked the piano intro and the look and feel of the MV, which has a storyline ^^ . I have to exercise patience and wait till Sep 27 for the full MV for Yesterday, the title track as well as the rest of of songs from Turn Me On.  Kyu Jong, fighting!!!  I also can't wait for his beautiful stage performances on the music shows!

Turn Me On Kim Kyu Jong ^^

Woot!  Woot!!!  It's finally finally happening!  Kyu Jong will be releasing his solo album next week.  Below are his album cover and the very very bold & jaw dropping album concept photos ^^

Many true blue Kyu Jong fans were initially shocked & upset about the concept photos, but I think they've overcomed their initial shock and now starting to embrace the concept and looking forward to Turn Me On!!! 

Me personally I feel Kyu Jong has made a brilliant move to shock the live out of fans and made everyone sit up to notice him!!! 

I've had time to mull over Kyu's concept photos. I think Kyu is very brave to take this bold move. Amongst all the boys who have had their solos, they all stayed pretty mainstream in album concept. Kyu knows he has to create a buzz to ge...t people to notice him, so I do understand the reason for this radical concept, totally unlike our sweet Kyu we know him. And that's why we are shocked.

But then again don't you all think this is what Kyu needs to tell kpop industry that he's showing us a different side of him?! This tells me he's confident and bold enough to take this step to establish himself as a solo artiste. I am all for it!! Kyu go go go!!!!

So let's embrace this new totally out of this world Kyu Jong and see what other surprises he has for us! I for one is ready for anything and the unexpected from Kyu!! kekekeke ....

Ab501utely Hyun Joong ^^

Hyun Joong was invited to perform in Shen Zhen, China at the "Perfect Concert" involving many HK and Chinese stars, but Leader was the only Korean Hallyu star on stage.  Deservedly he was the closing act and he gave a perfect stage with his dancers, Artmatic!!!  Really hated the constant yakking and screaming from the fans, but the video footage by MurderQ is awesome as always.  Thanks for uploadin on Vimeo.  Today, Hyun Joong is safely back home in Seoul.  Can't wait for his 2nd solo album ^^

I feel so fortunate and thankful to Hyun Joong for giving us this LIVE performance on MNet's Joon Du Yeon's MUST broadcast yesterday.  Even though Hyun Joong was a little under the weather (flu), he sang Lee Juk's 다행이다 "Fortunate" with so much feel that I got emotional watching him.  I simply adore when he sings with his husky voice without loud music.  His voice is best enjoyed acoustically with simple piano/guitar arrangement.  Thank you Hyun Joong ^^ and please rest & get well soon ....

More Fresh Kisses from the 4D One

Argh..... I love this performance of Kiss Kiss on MuCore today from Hyun Joong!!! The stage and vibrancy of the colors all add to the summer sweetness.  His hair also looks much more naturally styled today.  The start of the performance when Hyun Joong and Artmatic appears is like magic, manga style!!  Thanks to the mucore camera ahjussi for the awesome closeup shots of Hyun Joong with his megawatt smiles. This feels more like a music video to me and should be viewed over and over and over again!!!

In fact, the MV itself features actual footages from his fan signing event and showcase, as well as behind-the-scene rehearsal videos. Heartfelt Words from Hyun Joong - Break Down Showcase Excerpt

Here are heart felt words from Hyun Joong.  As always, he bottled things up inside him and will only speak when the time is right.  After a difficult 1 year and 2 months, leaving DSP to join KeyEast, watching the shennigans that goes on in SS501 fandom silently with heart break, Hyun Joong finally spoke out.  I do hope fans across all countries will sit up and listen to these words from Leader.  He meant it with all his heart, do not spread anymore harmful rumours, do not fight, just be happy for all the members of SS501 or their individual solo activities and successes.  They need us now to be united and support them even more now that they are flying solo. We have to be patient and wait for a magnificient SS501 - five as one to come back on stage.  Please don't hurt any of them anymore by creating unfounded rumours and fighting amongst fanclubs. 

Kim Hyun Joong has returned as a solo artist and gave a word of thanks to his fans with tears pouring from his eyes.
On June 7th, after his mini-album “Break Down” release showcase was over, he read a letter that he wrote from his heart to his fans.

He pulled out a letter and stated, “I’ve always been able to show my outer-self on stage, but I’ve never been able to show my heart to them. But I’ve finally gained enough courage to write this letter to share my feelings with my fans”.
Kim Hyun Joong read, “It’s already been 6 years since I’ve met every one. I thank you for believing in me and cheering for me all this time and never changing,” and he confessed, “I started looking back while I was working on the album. I realized how important the meaning of ‘together’ is”.
He continued, “I started feeling pressure and fear as I was trying to do this alone. It was hard to defeat this… I looked back over the past year, fans fighting and misunderstandings, only being able to watch over the situation made me think to myself, ‘I guess I have limits, too,” as his eyes started tearing.

He ended by saying, “I worked hard on the album by imagining how happy the fans would be looking at it. I hope that you will all be smiling and be even happier in the future” and added, “This album is not mine, but belongs to everyone. I’m very thankful to everyone that showed up here, and I want to tell everyone with my heart that I love you”.
Earlier on this day, Kim Hyun Joong performed his first solo title song “Break Down” at a showcase in front of 4,000 people.

A Little Peek into KHJ - Break Down Showcase Excerpts

Just putting down what transpired during the talk session at Hyun Joong's Break Down showcase event on 7 Jun 2011.  It's really interesting and hilarious to hear what this guy has to say ^^

Singer Kim HyunJoong made his showcase drown in laughter with his wild talking skills.

Kim HyunJoong held his first mini album ‘Break Down’ sale commemoration showcase at JangChoong Stadium, JangChoong-dong, Jong-gu, Seoul, on 7-June afternoon.

Kim HyunJoong presented the powerful energy with his title song ‘Break Down’, and followed with ‘Please’, ‘Kiss Kiss’, ‘One More Time’, etc, receiving warm cheers from fans.

On this day, during every break between the performances, Kim HyunJoong started his unique talk and amuses the fans. In addition, SS501 Heo YoungSaeng and Kim KyuJong appeared as guests and showed their wild talking skills while having conversations.

“Looking at me in real, I didn’t gain weight right? I don’t know why people were saying that I gained weight. I prepared so hard for this.”  He complained about the photo of ‘virtuous HyunJoong’ attracted attention recently over the internet, and that the photo didn’t came out well.

“Though I couldn’t greet everyone as I didn’t learn it for long... Hi, Kim HyunJoong desu (in Japanese : I am Kim HyunJoong).”  When MC Park KyungLim told him to talk (in other languages) as there are fans from all over Asia such as Japan, China, Thailand, Singapore, Taiwan, etc, who came to attend this showcase, he made his witty greetings as he is still not good in Japanese and Chinese, etc.

“Taking the opportunity now, I want to tell you that my handphone broke down.”  Surprise appearance by Heo YoungSaeng and Kim KyuJong to celebrate his birthday, and when being asked why he didn’t respond when they sent him text messages and called him on his birthday, he asked to be excused as his handphone broke down.

“Alright. I look at face. I also consider backview, drinking capacity, character too. I like perfect lady.”  Kim HyunJoong said resignedly when Heo YoungSaeng and Kim KyuJong revealed that he first looks at drinking capacity and appearance, backview, etc, when looking at a lady.

“I don’t have time, I want to play, I have things I want to forget about...”  Kim HyunJoong said in regards to why he drinks alcohol quickly when being pointed out by Heo YoungSaeng and Kim KyuJong that he drinks alcohol extremely fast. In addition, he argued that his friends drink even faster than him and called out the names of his friends who were seated in the audience and waved to them.

“I have done my best to show a professional image even when I almost cried when the moth flew around”  Kim HyunJoong, who is scared of insects, said that when singing ‘One More Time’, the OST song for ‘Mischievous Kiss’, he discovered a moth and had to try his utmost best to keep calm.

“Because of dragonflies, because of viewership ratings, I had a hard time. But it didn’t do well in Korea only.”  Having a hard time when filming ‘Mischievous Kiss’ due to dragonflies flying around at the filming venue. Kim HyunJoong was sad for the low ratings. However, ‘Mischievous Kiss’ has high ratings in Taiwan and Japan, making a consolation for him.

I ab501utely adore Hyun Joong when he is relaxed and having fun just being himself.  He went on KBS Entertainment Guerilla date after his Mubank #1 win and the streets of HongDae recorded the highest turned out ever!!  Thanks to Alien Prince for uploading this on his/her YT channel with English subs to boot!  Hyun Joong ah.. you are just a real comedian and we love you for it ^^

I've been so busy catching up with a Tsunami of news & broadcasts promotions of Hyun Joong's Solo Album titled Break Down that I've not been able to update this blog for months hahahaha... so here's some catching up blogging ^^

First the fantastic Break Down Music Video.  I love the dance chereography by Lyle Beniga who spent weeks in Seoul work with Hyun Joong to perfect the dance with his dancers Armatic. 

Next came the showcase event that Hyun Joong presented free of charge for 4,000 fans on 7 Jun which was also attended by Young Saeng and Kyu Jong.  It was a fantastic showcase where Hyun Joong sang his heart out.  Check out these clips below ...

To all the Kpop fans that have been following me on twitter, this is the mystery artist I've been teasing you guys with for the past 3 months ;).  I spent 2-and-a-half weeks with Kim Hyun Joong working extensively on his dancing and choreography, and I'm proud to see the final product.  He's an extremely hard worker as well as his dancers, not to mention he's an upstanding guy.  So congratulations on the new video and the release of the new album!!  Can't wait to see the performance, as well as the music video to "Break Down".  I don't think you guys are ready for that one. ;)

The title track for "Break Down" is 제발(Please) which is once again produced by Steven Lee.  The MV teaser is scheduled for released throughout Asia & Korea later today around 5pm KST and the full MV will be released on 2 Jun.  Album sales will start on 8 Jun which is the 6th Anniversary of SS501 ^^.  Hyun Joong will have a showcase on 7 Jun for about 5,000 lucky fans.

After worry fans & management due to an unexpected hand injury & much delay, today we finally see a glimpse Heo Young Saeng's Solo Album title track "Let It Go"!  I'm angry with Young Saeng for teasing us like this cause this teaser reveals nothing!!!  Young Saeng, you are such a tease!!! 

Looks like we'll have to wait for more .. till May 12th then! Meanwhile Young Saeng will show up on screen again on various variety programs such as Running Man and Happy Together.

Hyun Joong Project Smile BTS

This is a lovely behind the scene cut of Hyun Joong when he was doing the Project Smile event.  It covers the Tokyo event at Tokyo Dome as well as his recording of the song "Hohoemi"... I especially love his dedication and easy style throughout the numerous takes at the recording studio.  Best of all is his lovely attitude, so polite, so patient and always with that great smile of his.  It must be such a pleasure to work with Hyun Joong ^^

Hyun Joong's Japan Vogue Fashion Shoot

My Handsome Prince Shin ~ Kim Kyu Jong

SS501’s Kim Kyu Jong has transformed into ‘Prince Charming’.

The idol was cast as the main character ‘Lee Shin‘ for the musical “Goong“. On April 13th, he finished the poster photoshoot for the performances in Japan, and unveiled his ‘prince look’ for the very first time.

Kim Kyu Jong donned a luxurious dress coat, and emphasized his royal position with his haughty facial expression and lax body language. Although his picture looks very arrogant, it’s said that he made the photoshoot atmosphere very bright with his funny quips and laid-back attitude.



After filming, the idol-turned-actor stated, “I received a lot of advice from TVXQ’s Yunho hyung, who played this role before. I worried a lot about being cast as the main character, but I was fascinated by connecting with the audience. It’s a little awkward now but I’ll present my own Kyu Jong prince, different from the past princes in the musical. I hope you’ll all be interested.”

The ‘Goong’ musical will run in Kyoto, Japan from June 11th to July 1st.

I am so overjoyed with pride and happiness for Kyu Jong. This is a great opportunity for our kind and caring Kyu cause he will get to act and sing as well.  Knowing Kyu Jong, he will be very stressed and burdened to do his best to excel and will work his butts off to do well, I hope he does not over worked himself.  As with all 5 boys, they all take pride in their accomplishments and always will present their very very best to us fans and audience, it is equally important to have proper rest and good health. 

Kyu Jong ah... you were the one that I worried most and have been shedding many silent tears for in the past months as one by one the other members embark on their solo activities.  I can now heave a sigh of relief that you will finally be able to take flight on your solo activity as well.  I have every confidence in you that you will do very well in this musical.  Many many fans and audience will be captivated by you, so please work hard and see you shine on stage!  Kyu Jong Mansae & Hwaiting!!!

Jung Min's Birthday Party with Fans

I'm late in writing about this, cause I was rather lazy hahahaha.  Found this wonderful news clip that provides a great summary of what happened during Jung Min's recent birthday celebration with fans in Seoul on Apr 3.  It's great to see Jung Min so happy & enjoying his interview ^^

I also wanted to put up this letter from Jung Min to fans cause it is so sincere and written with much love.  Since embarking on his solo activities, Jung Min has impressed me with his determination, drive and sincerity towards fellow members of SS501 and fans.  He now holds a firm place in my heart right next to Leader, Hyun Joong ^^ .. yes it's official now hahaha.  Jung Min wrote and read this letter to fans who attended his 25th birthday party event in Seoul on Apr 4, 2011.  Maknae, Hyung Jun took time to attend this event as well.  These two really are inseparable LOL.

Heo Young Saeng to Debut with "Let It Go"

Finally there is news of our long awaited Heo Young Saeng's solo debut album today via Allkpop.  As we await official news from B2M, here's what was reported ...

SS501′s Heo Young Saeng will finally be following in the footsteps of his bandmates by going solo!  His agency, B2M Entertainment, revealed, “Heo Young Saeng will be working with Sweetunes, the composing team behind the majority of KARA’s hit tracks. He won’t be going for a ballad, but will present a strong dance track instead.”

As the main vocalist of SS501, Heo Young Saeng already had his vocal talent recognized by the masses. Consequently, fans expected him to come out with a sultry ballad that displayed more of his talent. Young Saeng, however, is more determined than ever to show a new side of himself through his title track, “Let It Go.”

With three out of the five SS501 members promoting in the industry, and Kim Hyun Joong preparing for his solo as well, fans can expect a busy year from the members. Kim Kyu Jong will also be transitioning into acting, and is currently taking acting lessons.  Young Saeng’s album will be released on April 28th.

The, Park Jung Min Album Details

Gosh! I am stunned to see Jung Min working so fast to follow up with his Re-packaged album.  I ab501utely love this album cover!  So handsome, sweet and warm... I can't wait for April 1st to download his digital Single "Like Tears are Falling" - will be a good ballad I presume!  Jung Min, Jung Min... love you to bits for being such a sweetheart.  Wishing you a Daebak on "Like Tears are Falling and Go Go Go" ~ the two new songs on this repackaged album!  I have already heard both songs, they are so refreshingly wonderful.  The lyrics for are so touching too.. can I safely assume Jung Min wrote the lyrics for these songs too?

Park Jung Min is releasing a new song in celebration of his birthday! The star wanted to share the special occasion with his beloved fans, and what better way to do it then by unveiling a musical treat?

The new song is called “Like Tears Are Falling“, and is scheduled for release on April 1st through a digital music channel. It’s a great prelude to his new mini-album, “THE, PARK JUNG MIN“, which will drop on the 7th. The singer has also created a 40-page photobook to be included with his new album.
